Jayson Weidel is an Art Director in the commercial district with a strong focus on animation, movies and comic book pulp culture. He predominantly works as a commission-based artist and licensed poster designer. Additionally, he is the founder and curator of the immensely popular online pop culture artist collective, PLANET-PULP which is now in it’s 11th year.
Jayson’s work has been spotlighted from coast to coast and is frequently present in galleries such as Gallery 1988 LA/NYC, Spoke Art San Francisco/NYC, Hero Complex Gallery LA, the late Ltd. Gallery Seattle. Likewise, he has been featured online in many popular geek-centric destinations such as /FILM, i09 Gizmodo, Nerdist, Laughing Squid among many others.
Commercially, Dark Hall Mansion has tapped Jayson for several shelved properties. These have included Douglas Fairbanks: The Thief of Bagdad, Buster Keaton’s: The General and the 1965 cult classic from The Beatles: HELP! His collectible printed work with Dark Hall Mansion has featured multiple posters within their popular Peanuts license.
